To help you with the process of buying your prom dress, we've put together a list of frequently asked questions and the answers. If there's something you want to know we haven't covered, please get in touch, we are always happy to help.
When should I start looking for a dress? We recommend that you shop for your dress between December and February. This gives us plenty of time to order and receive the dress and arrange fittings. Don’t worry if you wait a bit longer though, our supplier holds stock and we can often get dresses up to the last minute.
What is the price range of your dresses? Our dresses range from £175 - £425.
Do I need an appointment or can I just turn up? We do recommend appointments, especially on a Saturday when we get very busy. We only have the capacity for one appointment at a time. If you’re thinking of calling in it’s a good idea to call ahead and check we’re free.
Do you have evening and Sunday appointments available? I’m afraid we don’t offer Sunday appointments, but we do open late on a Thursday evening between 5pm and 8pm. This is strictly by appointment only.
How long will my appointment last? Generally appointments last for an hour. Alterations appointments usually take 30 minutes.
Who should I bring to my appointment? Please bring a parent or other suitable adult with you. I'm afraid we don't allow prom customers to try on dresses without an adult present.
Will you make sure no one else has the same dress as me? We have an exclusivity policy for each school in the area. Our promise to you is that we won't sell a dress to the same school more than once. We won't even sell the same dress in a different colour.
Are alterations included in the price of my dress? No, but we have a seamstress, skilled in the alteration of dresses - a copy of the price list is on display and available by request. If you’d rather take your dress elsewhere to be altered, don’t worry, we won’t be offended.
How can I pay for my dress? We accept payment in cash or by debit/credit card. A 50% deposit is required for us to order your dress. The balance must be paid before any alterations are undertaken.
All deposits are non-refundable or transferable.
Will my dress be steamed and how will I take it away? All dresses are steamed as part of our service. Your dress will be stored in a breathable dress bag and you will collect it in that bag to protect it. If you're interested in purchasing one of our beautiful boxes to store your dress after the prom please ask for more information.
